Welcome to the forums Bill. It is a privilege to have someone of your stature as a member. And big thanks to Marshall for encouraging you to join. I hope you'll pop by from time to time, as I'm sure a few folks here would love to chat.
I just want you to reassure him - talk to him, make him see the error of his ways. Then I'll hit him.
good morning sir bill.....how are you liking the forum so far?? see it ain't so bad is it??? do you have any contact with brian locking at all???? he has some oh boy episodes i want to watch... what you said about people saying you rode coat tails to fame...i use to belive that but then you corrected me on my moondogs page via email and i was impressed you took the time to email me a correction,so then i decided i was wrong and frequented your mersey beat site and now i believe you deserve more status than you have..
Welcome Bill Nice to see you here , i have a question for you if you dont mind
Do you remember the Cavern Mecca in Liverpool that started in the early 80s that was run by Jim and Liz i always often wonder what the did when it closed down and if they went on to do more Beatle projects .

Many thanks to you all. It's really nice to hear from people who can be kindred spirits. Jim and Liz were a great couple and I have a number of photos I took of them which I may post when I eventually learn how to do it with pictuures. Liz became very ill and they had to move away from Liverpool and try a warmer climate, although they only went to the extreme south of England. Unfortunately, I never heard from them again. Cavern Mecca was a genuine Beatles project, started for love not money. I may have some of their early fanzines and releases which, if I learn how to post stuff, I could do. In fact I've got an attic full of things and may have over 1000 Beatles fanzines from the Sixties to today. Thank you to Mr. Kite. No, I don't have any contact with Brian Locking, but can establish one if you need any information. If you need some comments, Dave, ask me a few questions. Dear Blue Meanie, Marshall has been trying to get me on the forum for several months. The hesitation is because I am a bit of a virgin regarding technology and the computer, apart from using word for windows, hence I'm taking the forum step by step and practicing. Also, I must admit, I do hesitate about getting involved in anything Beatles because of those people who always suddenly appear and say I'm cashing in, although I always believed and practiced 'paying my dues.'

As I wrote in another thread, we are VERY honored to have you posting here, we are so lucky!
May I ask two questions please?
1) Did the boys express a special interest in how they were portrayed in your articles about them? Did they ever do something like come up to you and say, "Hey, how about writing this?", or "Please don't do that"?
2) While they were in Liverpool, was there any doubt who the leader was, or (perhaps in retrospect) was Paul chafing a bit because John was king? Not in a nasty way, but just in a competitive sort of way.
Thanks so much
I love John, I love Paul, And George and Ringo, I love them all!
