I absolutely love Joni Mitchell. She's one of my favourite artists of all time. Her melodies, her lyrics, her voice, her passion on performing. "Blue," "Ladies of the Canyon," "Court and Spark," "For The Roses" are all amazing masterpieces. Her latest album "Shine" is also one of my favourites from all time.
What you can say about this incredibly talented artist?

I haven't really liked anything she's done since 'Mingus', but I think 'Don Juan's Reckless Daughter' is an overlooked masterpiece. And I love 'Miles Of Aisles'.

I know, it's absolutely beautiful. That dark blue, with the image of a sad woman playing her flute, with her eyes closed. This is one of the reason because Joni Mitchell, not being a beautiful woman in the conventional sense, is actually a marvellous person.

"Blue" is my second favourite album of all time, after Stevie Wonder's "Innervisions".

What about "Ladies of the Canyon"? I think it is her most similar album compared to Blue. Very acoustic and with an absolutely beatiful sad emotion. I still don't listen "Hejira". Is good, isn't it?

i bought Blue on a whim last year and have bought it 5 times since for all of my dearest friends.. LOVE Joni.. being Canadian she is a shining example for us all.. and one of our greatest exports

That reminds me people voting in the forums of UKMix.org for the best canadian female artist, and Joni received almost no votes. Everyone picked Shania Twain, Celine Dion, or Alanis Morissette. They're sick! Please! Joni Mitchell is an awesome artist, really talented, it's sad that many people don't know even who is she. In Argentina, my country, is almost entirely not-known.
