Ringo's Tribute Records.
There was an incredible number of records dedicated to Ringo. Here are a few. Does anyone know of any more?
They included Ella Fitzgerald’s ‘Ringo Beat’; ‘Treat Him Tender Maureen (Now That Ringo Belongs To You)’ by Angie & the Chicklettes; ‘I Want Ringo For Christmas’ by the Four Sisters; ‘Ringo’s Dog’ by the Jack Dorsey Big Band’; ‘You Can’t Go Far Without A Guitar Unless You’re Ringo Starr’ by Neil Sheppard; ‘I Want Ringo To Kiss Me Goodbye’ by Penny Valentine; ‘Santa, Bring Me Ringo For Christmas’ by Christine Hunter; ‘Ringo’ by Weekend; ‘Ringo’ by the Starlettes; ‘Ringo’ by Bob Dean; ‘Ringo Part One/Part Two’ by Carl & the Haircuts; ‘My Ringo’ by the Rainbows; ‘Ringo Ringo’ by Darleen Terry; ‘Ringo, Dingo’ coupled with ‘Here Comes Ringo’ by the Tributes; ‘R (Is for Ringo)’ by Tina Ferra; ‘Ringo-Dear’ by Gary Ferrier; ‘Ringo Boy’ by Dori Peyton; ‘Ringo’s Jerk’ by Ron Ringo; ‘Ringo’s Walk’ by Joey & the Classics; ‘Like Ringo’ by Dick Lord; ‘Go Go With Ringo’ by the Whippers; ‘Ringo Did It’ by Veronica Lee & the Moniques; ‘Where Did Ringo Go?’ by the Beatle Bugs; ‘Ringo Comes To Town’ by Chug & Doug; ‘Ringo I Want To Know Your Secret’ by Pat Wynter; ‘A Tribute To Ringo Starr (The Other Ringo)’ by Larry Finnegan; ‘Ringo for President’ by the Young World Singers; ‘What’s Wrong with Ringo’ by the BonBugs (this girl group was later to emerge as the Shangri-Las); Bingo Ringo’ by Butler Daws (the man who provided the voice for Huckleberry Hound); ‘Minuet for Ringo’ by Viv Prince and ‘Ringo, Ringo Little Star’ by Alan and Lou Marks Fisher.

I must admit I didn't even know the majority of these titles. Ehm, how about 'I'm The Greatest' by Ringo Starr?

Well, didn't you know that Phil Spector produced 'I Love Ringo' by Bonnie Jo Mason, who turned out to be Cher?

All you've got to do is choose love.  That's how I live it now.  I learned a long time ago, I can feed the birds in my garden.  I can't feed them all. -- Ringo Starr, Rolling Stone magazine, May 2007

I remember hearing it as a kid, when Lorne Greene was famous for being Pa Cartwright in Bonanza. It's apparently about the outlaw Johnny Ringo.

I just want you to reassure him - talk to him, make him see the error of his ways. Then I'll hit him.

i wonder if ringo named himself after johnny ringo, or because of all the rings he wears.

He got the nickname 'Ringo' when he joined Rory Storm, because of all the rings he wore, and the name Starr so that his solo's could be called 'Starr Time'.

thank you.
when did ringo add his ear rings?
i'm guessing in the early 80's or late 70's.
