What version of Let it be is this or why did they change the last few lines from sorrow to answer?
It's originally from the movie Let It Be, but given the video quality most likely reproduced here from The Beatles Anthology. The lyrics are a bit different because it's- I believe- an earlier take than the one used on the album.

it would've helped if I saw the movie Let It Be. I still need to see that and MMT
Oh, that this too, too solid flesh would melt... Zap! My skin's soaked right through to the skin! "The Beatles will exist without us"

A saw a videotape version of it once back in the eighties. It's not commercially available now (nor is MMT), although I did download a very poor quality flash version of it from Youtube last year. We're all waiting for Apple to cough up the real thing!
I wish. I read somewhere, possibly here, that Apple(Ipod) is trying to get IPods made like they did for U2 for the Beatles. I could only imagine how expensive they would be.

Rumors about a deal to reissue the Beatles' catalog fly around with depressing regularity, and nothing has so far come of any of them. Information about the latest round can be found here:
I have a few questions for our Beatle experts around here about this song. Does George make a mistake during the guitar solo? It sounds like he hits a bad note at one point. Which I actually love because it gives the song character, but it still sounds off and I've always wondered. Also, who is saying what after the "and though they may be parted" part? Does anyone know? I'm talking about the album version here of course. I think they cleaned everything up on the other versions. Even Ringo's drumstick clicks, which I love. But then that's how I can always identify if the version they're playing is the GOOD version. If I don't hear those sticks clicking I know I'm in for aggravation!
Oh, also, what's the story behind the distortion being on the album guitar solo yet no distortion on the other versions? I don't even know how they create distortion so I don't know if it's something they do at the time or something that can be added. I wonder why they decided against it on the other solos. I think it's dull without it. And Ringo's drumming seems very hidden on the cleaned up versions as well. I don't know why this fascinates me, but I wish I knew why they did this. The album version just seems so perfect to me. Mistakes and all. Any insight on the story of this song would be greatly appreciated!!
Thanks. I didn't even think to look there! Lots of interesting info. Didn't answer all my questions and I actually have a few more after reading it, but I'll refrain!

It IS a mistake. He accidently hits the open 'B' string right before he does that bend towards the end. But it does give the solo that live feel they wanted!
That was the first solo I learned after getting "The Beatles Complete Scores" and I made sure to leave that 'mistake' in; otherwise it doesn't sound right (to me, anyway).
