i know! i once saw a girl a little older then me, with a beatles shirt on, and even though i didnt talk to her, i was thinking, "its like we have some mental connection" or something. its pretty awsome when you meet other fans, and really NOT awsome when you meet haters. they are SO NOT COOL!  

I'm lucky because I play in a band with two other Beatles fans, and we work a bunch of songs into our set list.

I had/have one "Beatle" friend, but like my favorite line by John, "Life is what happens to you while you're
busy making other plans." He moved to the other side of the U.S. doing his life (Wife, kids, teaching). I'm
doing my thing (working nights on computer for banks.) We just don't seem to get together and talk
"Beatles", go to record/cd/tape conventions, keep each other "updated" on the latest news, bootlegs, etc.
I'm so glad to find this site plus a few others to help keep up on "news" and stuff. I also have a few friends
that "try" to be "Beatle-knowledged" but it's just something they saw in the lastest news clipping. I appreciate
it, but it's not the same as with a "true-blue-die-hard" fan. I'm glad to see the "younger" fans, I need some
one to help me "catch up" to the current stuff (Not saying that I "like it", just so I'm aware -  I'm still trying to decide on Amy Winehouse.)

I so wish I could start a band and be able to throw some Beatle cover songs in there....except I don't play anything and I can't sing worth squat.

me and a few of my friends called ourselves The Beatlettes, and we sang Help! it sounded like we needed some help...

Years ago I got aquainted with a Hungarian girl here on DM forum. We met in real life, and we organized Beatles meetings with about 10-15 Beatles fans, we talked almost ONLY about the Beatles.   But no meetings anymore, unfortunately.

About the Beatles shirt, once I saw a girl with a Beatles bag, I asked her where she had bought it. She told me where, but she was quite unfriendly. I asked her if she was a fan, but she said no, she just liked the bag and bought it.

but there really is a group called The Beatlettes! i'm not sure if our video of singing Help! ended up on YouTube, but it might. that's what i hear from another Beatlette.
