i just recently grabbed the Virtual Beatles Album by the two Argentinians, and i got to this song and realised it was the song he had written for Mary Hopkins but had no idea he had sang it himself, i think both versions are great did they ever do a duet then ?

It was probably left off Anthology 3 because it was written for Mary Hopkin and not The Beatles. Too bad, too; it's a nice piece of work.

Its not too bad, it could have been worse, if I were McCartney, I think I'd get the message by now. (Finish up these loose ends while you can!)

"No one around you will love you today and throw it all away..."
"Nothing is real..."
"Its all in the mind..."
"And life flows on within you and without you..."

I'm sure I've got that on a boot somewhere, but I can't think where.

I just want you to reassure him - talk to him, make him see the error of his ways. Then I'll hit him.

It's on Complete Home Recordings 1968-1969, for one.

Great song. It sounds as if he had written it nowadays.

It's a good song. Too bad he didn't record that and "Come And Get It," which was written about the same time, for McCartney, his first solo album.

Come and Get It was recorded so well by Macca. it probley would have worked well on his first solo album, better than some of the
stuff on it.

It's been a Hard Days Night & i've been working like a dog!

Agreed. There are some nice little ditties on there, but so much of it is throwaway.
