yeah I know. And I don't think this joke is to imply that his songs were "bad." but let's be serious, Ringo presenting a song to John, Paul, or George really is like a child showing their parents a drawing they made in school. I dunno, this episode is old but I only saw it for the first time last night....and I was in tears laughing after Paul put the song on the refrigerator.

but yeah I enjoy Ringo's songs. Don't Pass Me By is great fun and I like many from his solo career.
