The Beatles were great at writing romantic songs. I definitely want some of them played at my wedding. My favourites are In My Life, I Will, Something, Here There and Everywhere, as well as And I Love Her. I know they didn't write it but I also love their version of Til There Was You from The Music Man.

HI Mairi - I had two friends do a guitar/bass vocal duet of In My Life at our wedding. Whenever we hear it on the radio now, my wife smiles and puts her hand in mine (and I feel happy too!).
The song holds up over time as well (18 years tomorrow!!).
Congrats on your upcoming nuptials! |

Without a doubt. Frank Sinatra was right about this one. I've been singing this song for a long time and I still do. I've never heard someone showing feelings towards a person. Really unbelievable amazing song. Apart from "Something" I would say "P.S. I Love You", "If I Fell" and "I Will". |

Real Love. One of my personal favorites would have to be Why Don't We Do It In Road? I'm only kidding For You Blue is a simple and sweet song. There are a lot of Beatle songs, some not so typical love song, but they're there. I've always liked the way The Beatles did Words of Love, even though it was a Buddy Holly song before, I like the way they did it. |
