Beatles For sale, solely for the dinosaur covers. And don't anyone dare say it was because they were tired.....
I put the blame on this one fairly and squarely on the shoulders of both George Martin, and Brian Epstein. Epstein for the punishing schedule he put them through (not surprising considering the cut he was making), and Martin as producer, for lack of direction, and allowing them to record a clutch of, quite frankly, duff covers.
I just want you to reassure him - talk to him, make him see the error of his ways. Then I'll hit him.

Though was the schedule really any more punishing than Rubber Soul or Revolver? I'll let Eppy off and damn no one but that scoundrel Martin. See what happens when Macca's not in charge?
Let me put this in context. To me, almost everything the Beatles did was gold. The only selection I always skip is Revolution 9. Other than that, they just had that x factor. So when I say that I voted for "Beatles for Sale" as the worst album, I still prefer it over almost anything else recorded by anyone. Also, I didn't consider MMT and YS as actual Beatles albums. I sorta look at LIB the same as it was shelved by the lads.
...And in the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make.
That's good to know. I mean how can they be considered actual studio albums??? MMT is like a comp for the soundtrack. Same w/YS excpet that a lot of it is not even Beatles music, but Martins musical scores.

Got to say Beatles for Sale , its not a bad album its just the least played by yours truly Yellow sub .. i just love Hey Bulldog , Its All To Much , Northern song
Read the latest Story of Albert and find out the truth of The Battle Of Hastings and where it all went wrong for the English and indoor plumbing . @
i think it would have to come down to the Yellow Submarine album, it's just not a proper album & i think it was a waste putting it out, the song-track version was far much better. that's the one they should have put out with all the songs from the movie .
It's been a Hard Days Night & i've been working like a dog!
I was very disappointed with YS. Well YS is 75% score music and MMT in my opinion came out with only half the album to my liking. and Let it Be seemed like some back alley music they threw together just to put music to some lyrics they had written. made no sense to me.
if anyone votes Abbey Road I've lost hope.
Oh, that this too, too solid flesh would melt... Zap! My skin's soaked right through to the skin! "The Beatles will exist without us"
