Okay. “The Dark Knight” was the best summer movie ever if you ask me! I liked “Iron Man” and “The Hulk“, but “The Dark Knight” just absolutely sold me. But in regard, I personally think Heath Ledger is the reason Batman sold as it did. I mean, he was the PERFECT joker. Some say he spent months preparing for the mystifying role of the Gotham City horror. And some even say, after filming was over he still had that psycho mentality, and it eventually helped to the overall death of the legend. But his performance was very fantastic and mind blowing. The audience was in “ahh” most of the film, particularly during his scenes, and hence his name, looking at him was creepy all by itself lol The scary laugh and lizard like “licky lips thingy” he does so well, just makes he's character all so real. He was very, very believable.

Heath did spend 1 month alone creating the character because he is a method actor. he wrote in a journal to get in the mentality of the joker. and he died because he BECAME the joker, he took it too far, like his character. Jack Nicholson warned him about how becoming him makes you want to kill yourself and he did.
