Donnie Darko DaveRam ! Can you explain it to me in no more than a Hundred words
Well Mr Kite as i'm the owner of "The Donnie Darko Book" , i could maybe cheat and tell you what Richard Kelly the director says about his film . But i won't cheat you that way my friend . So i will tell you about the first time i saw it and the effect it had on me and why it's in my top 10 films . I remember walking into HMV it was raining that cold November morning in 2003 , it was a Monday . By chance a strange Rabbit picture called me over to the racks of DVD's . The Rabbit picture on the cover of the DVD box spoke to me and said my name is Frank and if you buy me i will give you great knowledge about the universe and time . Noticing it was only 3.99 i thought that sounds like a good deal all that knowledge for 3.99 , so i bought the Rabbit called Frank and made my way home . When i got home i made a brew and a joint and popped the DVD into the time machine , this machine is also known as a DVD player . Lighting up i began to smoke the joint and for the next 111 minutes i was taken on a journey through time , i remember Frank the Rabbit was much taller than i thought , i thought about the magic power of carrots and how they not only help you see in the dark but help you grow 10 times your normal size like Frank. Suddenly i remember a wormhole opend up infront of me , i was pulled into it's swirling vortex and i travelled light years into another realm . Or as i now know it to be Donnie Darko Land . And just as Frank had said i was given special knowledge about time and the universe , know books or study was needed you could breath this wisdom into your lungs , and low and behold if it did'nt taste like carrots . This is my explenation to you Mr Kite , always listen to Rabbits that talk to you and always eat your carrots and never let anyone sell you anything for more than 3.99 as thats the price of Donnie Darko and infinite Knowledge .
It's about Rabbit holes in time , Mr Kite like Alice follow the Rabbit and you won't go wrong .
1. The Back to the Future and Pirates of the Caribbean (and Shrek to a lesser extend) trilogies were one story spread over three movies. There were even cliffhangers between parts 1 & 2 and between 2 & 3. So you can't really see them as seperate movies that stand on their own.
I don't quite agree here; I could call the Godfather trilogy one movie, or I could list all 6 Star Wars flicks as one long-a** movie.
Regarding the naming/renaming of Star Wars: I think the way Lucas retroactively renamed the 1977 original is cinematic blasphemy. I had this debate a few years ago with someone who wasn't born in 1977, and she referred to it as "Episode 4, A New Hope." I told her "No. Absolutely not. It was called 'Star Wars,' period. When people were lining up around the block, they were lining up for STAR WARS, not some 'Episode 4' nonsense."
It's akin to Paul McCartney making an announcement that from now on, the Beatles will forever be known as "Paulie Mac and the three other dorks."
1. The Rocky Horror Picture Show 2. Some Like It Hot 3. The Little Mermaid 4. Rebel Without a Cause 5. Beauty and the Beast 6. Election 7. This Is Spinal Tap 8. My Girl 9. Gentlemen Prefer Blondes 10. Ferris Bueller's Day Off
Yeah, I included Disney cartoons, SO WHAT. I enjoy plenty of high-brow films, but to be honest, these are the movies I find myself watching over and over again.
You're so vain, you probably think this post is about you.

1/ Robin Hood - Errol Flynn is the first action hero for me , he was a handsome devil , my earlist colour film on DVD , this 1938 film now restored looks stunning , they don't make them like this anymore . 2/ Bell Book And Candle - Bewitched 1950's style with James Stewart and Kim Novak , love this film . 3/ A Street Car Named Desire - Brando is electrifying in this film . 4/ The Lion In Winter - Katherine Hepburn ,Peter O'Toole and Anthony Hopkins in his first film , a great historical romp. 5/ Harvey - James Stewart and a six foot invisible white Rabbit called Harvey a wonderful film. 6/ Dark Victory - Bette Davis and US President Ronald Reagan in this 1939 tear-jerker , lovely old Hollywood film , it always makes me cry

Oh, yes! By Sugar i certainly meant Some Like It Hot. Don`t know some of the true English names unfortunately, cause all the names and the films themselves are translated from English. Alas!
