I'm going to be a senior this year, and I need to find a senior quote for the annual. Any suggestions?  I don't want to do one from "The End" or "Let it Be" since all the non-Beatles' fans choose those which pisses me off.  I'm not sure what song it is, but didn't John post-Beatles have a song that said "It really is getting better" or something?  I was also thinking "What a long strange trip it's been" but that seems to much of a drug reference.  Anyways Bring 'em in!

In My Life?
End of the End from MAF?
Long and Winding Road?

...And in the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make.

"It's getting better all the time!"
That should be your quote. From the song Getting Better.

Mine was "Life is what happens when you're busy making other plans"

Damn, Mairi, that was what I was going to suggest.  Although I think the exact lyric is "Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans."

And DCowboys, the song it's from is "Beautiful Boy" off John Lennon's Double Fantasy album, in case you're curious.

I think it's a good quote to use for your yearbook because so many people have these grand plans of what they're going to do in high school, y'know? But it usually turns out differently. The same is probably true for what people plan to do after high school, as well.

Thanks!  I was watching some youtube video where Paul was listening to some old records and John's song came up with Paul barely able to hold back the tears. So that is the song, thanks!

Awww...  That's the exact same quote I used in my senior yearbook.  Sure brings back memories.

I also knew of another girl who graduated in a different year who used "All you need is love" as her senior quote.  I remember debating using that or "The End", but I ultimately chose John's quote because it seemed more fitting.

I love the Beatles more than words can express.

Or "Life is very short and there's no time for fussing and fighting " ... but that's a senior quote in another sense, I suppose
