I think Tomorrow Never Knows, Let it Be, Across the Universe or Within You Without You would all be suitably serious for my final sendoff into the Spirit World.  At least in thinking about death in the abstract.  But the reality will probably be something more like What Goes On . . . slowly fading out and and winding down like a record player running out of juice.

Wow... nurses, nurses everywhere!

Maybe I'll go for.... the last song on Ringo's Liverpool 8 album (the one called R U Ready).
It goes "Are you ready to cross over, are you ready to let go? To face the final curtain, in the land of I Don't Know..."
And there's the bit that goes "someone's there to catch you when you're ready to let go"
So... I'd feel reassured and reasonably cheerful

But... I'm in no hurry
