I have noticed that lyrics sites often bungle up the lyrics t certain songs. Rolling Stones songs in particular seem to fall prey to this. Te worst one is Brown Sugar. You look up the lyrics, and they are clearly not what is being expressed on the recording. For that reason, I have decided to transcribe the lyrics to Brown Sugar exactly as they are heard on the original recording

Hi Mairi - I had not noticed that you were such a fan of misheard lyrics before, but from your Jimi Hendrix reference in your avatar, and this post as well, I can see I just wasn't paying enough attention!
BTW - the first line to Brown Sugar (I know, because I used to sing this in a band) is actually "Goh-Coh Slay", which is a soft drink in Lithuania (the last sound has an umlaut or something on there, I don't have the symbol on my computer keyboard), it is actually one of the first examples of product placement in popular entertainment, this way back c. '68 or '69. The Stones were very understimated both musically and in terms of business savvy, and this is just one example of the latter.
Sorry, I should have mentioned above that the literal translation to "Goh-Coh Slay" in Lithuanian is actually "Brown Sugar", of course
I love John, I love Paul, And George and Ringo, I love them all!

How did I miss that? Those Stones were pretty savvy for their time. Good to know.
