Hey guys
i just got a a best of jimi hendrix and i want to know what your fav songs are by him
mine are little wing and voodoo child.

I'm not a fan, but I've always liked Castles Made Of Sand. I learned to play it a long time ago and it's still my favorite song to play if I want to impress someone cause it looks really difficult (even though it's actually not that hard)... :)

Freedom and Power To soul are 2 good not so mainstream tracks. from his time in The Band Of Gypsy's.

I've always wondered why Freedom wasnt more famous, great track.  Red House, and If 6 Was 9 are also favs.  If 6 Was 9 is probably my favorite.

That's agreat track also sunny....Good call.
Real tough cookie tp play in that middle section....Chance for the drummer to have a right rip. lol

until only a few weeks ago i didnt realise that jimi made his career here in the UK .. for some reason i though he was more well known in the states..

Yeah, Dylan wrote it..lol only covers of Dylans songs are big because of his voice ( not Like A Rolling Stone, which is my favorite Dylan song)

I diss agree with you              hendrix is a better guitarist  and a lot better songriter

he doenst have the best voice, but his guitar is amazing even compared to eric clapton in cream

Hendrix has an amazing voice.  It's only because his guitar wizardry is so out of this world that his voice is so underrated.


Forget the greatest hits albums, buy his first 3:  Are You Experienced, Axis: Bold as Love, and his masterpiece, Electric Ladyland.  After that, you'll want to get everything else Hendrix did that you can get your hands on.  But at least get those 3 -- otherwise you're cheating yourself.
