Hey Dmitry.  I read your private message that you sent me a few months ago I believe.  I don't care if there are some punks on here who want to jokingly harass or intimidate me.  They don't know me personally at all, this happens on the net sometimes & it's no big deal to me anymore.  I'm not going to get angry, because there's nothing to get angry about, if they get upset about my comments.  I'm just here as a dedicated Beatles fan, who wants to talk about the Beatles, as well as other things & internet punks are fairies anyway.

Wow that's great news! When are you planing to fulfil that?
Too cold in Uhta??  :o In the summertime?? ;D
Have you heard what happened in Budapest yesterday? :'(
Posted by: Dmitry, August 22, 2006, 4:32am; Reply: 15
In the end of september I'll moved to Moscow. In Ukhta this summertime there was no summer. There was only a couple of weeks when temperature was about 30C, in the rest of the summertime average temp. is 11C :( And rains, rains, rains... We're becoming frozen here, the heating is off.

I heard about this violent storm in Budapest! It is a pity when during such great holiday heavy rain with wind dispel people :( Did you get wet too?!

Wow! Thats really cool! :):D:D Have you found a job there?
Yeah, the weather has been quite strange worldwide. I have a Greek friend, she has just sent me a message that it's 42 C in Athens! :o

Yeah, the national celebration became a disaster, the storm (storm? Tornado!) came right after the firework started. Poor people, they got soaked, they paniced cos the storm was horrible! The wind blew away everything! I wonder why the government didnt stop the firework and sent people home, they knew very well that the storm was aproaching the capital.  :X
Furtunately I went home, cos I was tired, so I was ok. :)

Not a real one, thank God, I was exaggerating of course. But I experienced tough storms. And this one was really awful, there was hail, 100 km/h wind, it blew the rooftop off the houses, broke display windows, twisted trees out by root that fell on the road/cars, (one hit people to death). Plus 1 million people on the street, that cant really escape or find a shelter.

Oh, it's horribly!!!  :o Recently something similar happend not far from Moscow. As I understand there is really strange things are happening with worlwide weather. It is not off the real, if I can say so.

It is possible! What polls for example need such many choices? What is the right number of choices should be do you think?
Posted by: Bobber, September 8, 2006, 5:40pm; Reply: 54
Well, for instance, if you want to make a poll about the best album, you'll need at least 12 choices! So, let's say 15?

As some Austrians said about our seaside/skiing resort Sochi "It's a pity when a winner is the one who invests more money".
If I had a chance I answer "It is better live in Austria without winter Olympic games then live in Russia with it".
It will be wiser to put money in making better living conditions for people here than let bosses fill theirs pockets...

Thanks! I love Russia too :) But I think I will love it more when I move from here to Europe of America  ;D

My grandparents (all four) felt the same way about the Ukraine when they saw the Statue of Liberty from the ship's deck.

Dmitry,

They left after the Revolution in 1921.  They lived in the Novohrad-Volyns'kyy region of the Ukraine.  My maternal grandfather was a dairyman and my paternal grandfather was a farmer.

My grandparents married in Russia and in both families, my grandfathers came here first, earned some money so they could send for my grandmothers.  They started their families in New York.  This was a common scenario among Russian immigrants after the Revolution.

It was a struggle for them here during the Great Depression.  But they raised beautiful families.  On my father's side, all three children (my father, uncle and aunt) became doctors as did myself and my cousins.

A similar history for part of my family, Octie.  One of my father's aunts immigirated to Palestine with her husband and raised three children, two daughters and a son.  The oldest daughter was radicalized by an incident on her moshav and joined the Irgun.  She ultimately settled in New Zealand in 1952.  I met her while I was in Israel in 1989.  She was visiting her sister in Tel-Aviv.  She was a unique character as were all her Irgun friends who visited her during her stay.

Oh yeah, the Irgun (or Etzel)... we used to study about it at school back in Israel. Turbulent times indeed...  :-/
Our family (our parents and the two of us) moved to Israel one year after your visit, in 1990, and then we moved to South Africa just before the new millenium arrived.

Now just a history lesson, but an integral part of a nation's birth.  The turbulent times continue, sadly.

It is a pity that during long history of Russia much russian people immigrated and still do it. There is such living conditions that not everybody want to live in :(

my truck hit a deer and they said it is undriveable...

so i paid over 25,000 dollars for a truck they say i can no longer by law drive...the whole insurance thing seems like a scam now....they said my truck was too old to fix...it is a 2002.....isn't that screwed up?
Posted by: Dmitry, May 11, 2008, 6:05pm; Reply: 174
Yes, the whole story is so terrible  :(

It is inconceivable that a 2002 year truck is too old... and you can no longer drive???

What will you do pc?

Are there many deer in your region. I thought there are many of them in Canada...
Posted by: pc31, May 11, 2008, 9:57pm; Reply: 175
i can drive just not that truck,so if you thought i was hurt......yes there are many deer, same size as canadas but at least we don't have moose or elk, thety are much larger...i will have to buy another one...maybe green this time...

i know ain't it a damn shame??????why do i pay insurance on a truck for so long,it was a 2002...it had 230,000 miles on it,...think of the finance and truck charges, the truck ran great and was totally fixable, but i listened to bufoonery from other sources that said let the insurance fix it,so i sent it off on a flat bed to crystal river ford,to be repaired by my insurance companys exspense, well i owed 4,000  dollars still between finance charges and balance there of...so jason from progressive insurance calls me and says well it looks like your truck is totalled,we will pay it off but it is old and has many miles(bullshit it would have done many many more)we will pay your deductible fro the check as well and we will give you $523...i was floored and pissed they bought my truck that i paid maybe totally $50,000 counting in its life time, that i perhaps spent more time in than i did in my bathroom at home or my bed for that matter,i even named it when i bought it,randy...don't ask its a long story...and this guy talks about it like no skin off my dick..well something is seriously wrong here folks...something totally fucked with the way these insurance companies just rip the truck right out of the sheepish public...well i have been fucked my friends and my government will hear from me in the coming days and they will listen but wether they remeadiate is to be seen...lets speak out worldlingers and so no more...my truck is still good and you are defective not randy or suzie or jackie whatever your vehicles name is..how can they take something you paid dearly on for 6 maybe 7 years???and so easily too...they will auction it off and make more than they gave me too...and repair and resell him...what a sad creul reality...bastards.......wake up everybody for shits sake....well enough ramble...
how are you nadia???how is your weather????spring over here flowers and deer blooming....be well...stay out of the revolution... ;)

the trouble with the pimped ones is if you wreck them you won't get what you invested back or people want to buy them for cheaper than you paid to build it...

I guess we've all probably heard the term "groupthink" by now. It's that old herd mentality that seems to bring out the best and the worst in people. By the best, I mean that sometimes a shepherd will surface. But that's an unlikely scenario. It's usually the wolves that will surface first, and the herd will be primed and ready to follow. What we're trying to do here is break up the herd before we are incapable of seeing, hearing, thinking and doing for ourselves. People who are capable of thinking for themselves will rarely be part of any herd.
