Hello all.....you could say that PC. I am pleased to announce we just won a national rizla (the rolling paper company) competition to play at this years Isle of Wight Bestival as The Chancers. Quite a nice bit of free exposure....people diggin the tracks.

Also promoting loads of other band gigs locally and recording & writing and trying to be a boyfriend, uncle, brother etc etc.

Thanks all for your positive welcomes.

One thing that saddens me and I have held my thoughts until now is the destructive way that Juniors Farm is attempting to split up the forum.....Lets keep the love goin eh?

Bobber.....totally agree with locking that thread. What a waste of text for the human eye to see.

Anyways, back to the positive, I'm glad I got a place to rant off on one occasionally. Great idea getting this going....Should help clean up the flow of the forums a lot more.

Hey....thanks for the messages. Been so busy promoting music and venues locally and doing the four bands. It's back to The Chancers (original outfit) to rap up an album and start talking real deals.

It's all been a great social experiment and insight to the many roles of music. Nothing commercially available as of yet. Keeping self-empowered for as long as possible before business mechanisms try an ruin the vibe.

You gotta tame the music beast inside and forever keep the dreams of progress alive. ;o)

Hello Beatle lovers.
Well...just realised I'd best have a mailbox at last. Basically, my life is based around family & music. Loved The Beatles for years and those who have digged around on here will find my ever changing thoughts on things. I don't tend to post as much now i have got it all out on such a great board of Beatle lovers. Most of the time someone has a thought that speaks for mine....sometimes i got a thought that speaks for yours. :)

I play in bands including The Apple Beatles as Macca and I also promote gig opportunities aswell as do sound, posters, recording and all the other neccessary things involved in getting people enjoying gigs.

Heheheh...Gigwise we are hoping to have the Isle of Wight festival again, a local garlic festival but would love to get gigs further afield.

Where the theatre I'm helping is council owned, they have put in a new manager who also has not much of an idea at present what to do. While they are in limbo I'm cracking on with some demo's for my cover groups but mainly hoping to rap up the elusive first ever original album. I just wish i had Abbey rd studios & George MArtin around. ;D

At this point, I would like to announce The Stray Cats Farewell Tour. We will be starting mid-August in Spain. Its been 30 years since the Stray Cats formed. Isn't that hard to believe? There's no one I'd rather play with than Slim Jim and Lee Rocker. They're the best!

I would like to end the Stray Cats the way we started it. That would be with the love of playing our brand of rockabilly music.

We will be posting tour dates as they come in.

Been reading a great book on Hendrix written by McDermott & Eddie Kramer. Fascinating reading and also discovering about Brian Epstein's Saville theatre which I seemed to know little about. What a great way for throwing top parties and wind up deals at the same time.

I talked to the guy that does the booking for the most likely venue they would play here (The Grey Hall, Christiania). They tried to book them last year, but were too expensive (400,000 kr. About 37k).

Moving into some space this week where it's regrouping time and looking at what we can realistically conjure up in the coming months. Best I can say at the moment. Still not had my job at the theatre offered in writing, so it's frustratingly limbo time on that front.
