OK, I know this has been done MANY times before but we have some new members here so let's welcome them and get to know each other a bit better!!

How about if we keep it to this format to keep things simple (don't feel you HAVE to answer all questions though!):

So here goes:

The real questions start here:

1. REAL NAME:
2. COUNTRY OF RESIDENCE:

3. SOMETHING INTERESTING (OR BORING!) ABOUT ME:

Also - don't forget you can post your pics here: http://www.dmbeatles.com/forums/b-conversations/m-1112239789/

Let me know if you need any assistance :)

Hi, Nina! I also like to meet people from different countries. The different viewpoints are so interesting!

I have a friend in Russia who lives in St. Petersburg. They still talk about the Paul McCartney concert there in the Palace Square. By good luck, my friend got in right up front! We visitors didn't know any Russian, but we could all sing "Yesterday" together! :)

=)  his concert was in the Red Square in Moscow too, but i wasn`t manage to come there... Now, is really hurt for me, cause i think that i miss a very important historical event! Some people, which had no tickets to the concert, was sitting on roofs of nearest buildings and listening Paul!

Poor Nina! *hugs*

I don't know what it was like in Moscow, but in St. Petersburg, the city was shut down! There were so many people, the metro was jammed, the streets were blocked-- people had to walk for two hours or more to get home. I'm sure they were doing what your friends in Moscow were-- just getting as close to the square as they could, to hear the music.

Well, you never know. Perhaps you will still see Paul in concert someday. Good luck!

Speaking for myself here.
Come on Dirk, we all know (you included) what has happened here for the last few years. There's been serious insulting on the forum and by PM by you. As far as I'm concerned, we can not just walk away and ignore all that. You got to understand that you will never by respected by a majority on this board. Maybe mistakes from both sides, but that's the way it is. There's zillion of other Beatlesforums on the internet. Why don't you try and make friends on another one instead of trying your luck here over and over again?

Nobody knows it ... or is sure:

This raxo sounds very popular in fact I'm a little intimidated already and I've never even met the person. (balloon)

I'll see what I can do on your temperature. And I just ate less and drank a lot of water instead of beer and lemonade. Oh, the diet is coming to Germany as well, it was a big (haha!) hit over here and the author of the book with the diet is expecting it to be huge (another one!) in other countries too. The author and diet is called Sonja Bakker. And I must admit: it works. I lost 8 kilograms and I wasn't even strict.
Posted by: Kate, June 15, 2007, 1:44pm; Reply: 230
thanks for the hint, will have to look out for that book. How long did it take you to loose 8 kilos?
Posted by: Bobber, June 15, 2007, 1:47pm; Reply: 231
Six weeks. Oh, it wasn't a hint. You asked for it. I know nothing about you having an overweight, do I?
Posted by: Kate, June 15, 2007, 1:51pm; Reply: 232
right, I asked for it. Six weeks (!) that's good. Others won't say I am overweight, but I do. You know what women are like, eh?
As for the weather, could you manage to change temperatures before I leave work in about 30 mins?

Yeah. They are always thinking they're too fat. Some of them really are.

Maybe just a degree. It's a nice 21 over here.

29°C over here, feels like 1000°C to me, hope the bus driver has turned on the air-conditioner....but I suppose he hasn't, just to annoy me.

Hi Kate, nice to have you back. Been very humid over here as well. Temperature dropped down to 15 C, but the humidity went up to 91!!!

I don't go with all these diet plans. I've seen plenty of people waist money on expensive books over the years. They seem to end up fatter! I've always thought common sense is the way to go. Don't eat bread, potatoes or anything starchy, fried foods. Do eat more salad, fresh vegetables, white meat, fish. Don't drink alcohol. I've lost 6 kilos in 6 weeks. Not quite up to your standards Bobber, but I'm happy. Another 8 to go. Maybe I should write a book! :)

The other thing I don't do is weigh myself. People get obsessed with weighing themselves. They go on a diet on Monday, and start weighing themselves Monday afternoon. Then get depressed if they haven't lost any weight. I won't have them in the house.

One last tip, give yourself a treat now and then. Mine's a bacon sandwich every couple of weeks!

Thank you for listening to Paul's Saturday morning healthy tips show. Next week: Shirts; Are they relevent today?
