We are currently having a new member trying to get in with the most disgusting names. We have deleted a few of them so far, but this person is trying to come back. If he/she manages to get in while there's no admin or mod around, please don't react to his/hers posts. It will most probably be rubbish.

On some forums an administrator has to activate your account before you can post. Isn't that possible on this forum?

We used to have that, but it turned out to scare people off as well. I mean, in the recent past we have tried to get a threshold as low as possible for new members to get in. The other side of that theory is things like this: sick people coming in every now and then. Current status is that new members can validate their account by confirming an e-mail. There's no administrator involved in that process. In the past sometimes new members had to wait for a few days before able to post in here.
