Anybody ever just get that warm, indescribable glow off of ATMP?
Allow me to explain:
I was listening to the song "Ballad Of Sir Frankie Crisp" outside on an MP3 player.
It was such a lovely sunny morning.
That descending from above guitar line just wrapped around my soul,
and the piano jangling made me feel like the steps of my true love coming
down a staircase quite angelic (Very Grease Teen Angel sequence).
And the words were so vista like, I could see it before me.
It was such a "click" kinda moment, very intense.
I've had these kind of amazing feelings on other ATMP songs too.
Am I just crazy or do any of you have had these kind of experiences?

I have this experience continually with ATMP. It soaked into me on listening one. Before I finished listening to it, I knew I must purchase this to have on an emergency-listening basis in my home.

I find ATMP has a definite strong mood, but so do my other favorite George albums. LITMW, C9, GT, Brainwashed, GH... he hits a groove and I bliss out.

I know what you mean: ATMP plays very well late at night or early in the morning. It's one of the two or three best Beatles solo albums and maybe the only one that really adds something to its writer's Beatles song catalog. Beware of Abcko!, a collection of ATMP demos, is a terrific supplement too.  :)

I can relate Mellotroniac.

George's songs honestly make me feel better. It's rather weird. When I'm not feeling well I'll just put him on and in a little bit I'll feel better.

Yes I do, and I agree, "Ballad Of Sir Frankie Crisp" is the best having a country walk and wearing an mp3 song in existence.

I always had a fear of dying (and I'm not just saying this) but the title-track helped me realise it's inevitable, and in a way, beautiful.

You may laugh at me but a heated discussion here yesterday i had a dream about George and it was BEAUTIFUL!

George dreams always are ;)

I really enjoy the song My Sweet Lord. Awaiting On You All has a great message.

George induced beauty and "He was a guy who only looked out for the best in people." These are Keith Richards` words. And this explains a lot, everything.

Very well-put.  I like the deep thoughtfulness in George's songs like "ATMP."  He may have been called the "quiet" Beatle but he had a lot of smart things to say.

I don`t remember if i`ve quoted the words, but still: "He was like the sun, the flowers and the moon, and we will miss him enormously. The world is a profoundly emptier place without him." Bob Dylan.
