The live version from Glasgow that was issued as an American single is one of Paul's great throwaways, I think.  :)

not to be an a** but this should be in the Paul thread  :P I like the live version from Glasgow better than the studio but they are both good.

First time I ever seen/heard the song was off youtube.
Thought the video was funny because of all the Paul's everywhere.

Hmm well i did like the Glasgow version , i remember . But as for listening to it to day then . No  :-/

Foot note thingy .
When it came out as being an avid fan i bought it like you do . But the same time The Wall Pink Floyd came out and i bought that too and well the gulf was well huge to how Macca had become a single artist at that time .  :-/

Love it!  One of my favorite Paul songs.  Both studio (the video is terrific) and live versions are nice.

I don't really like the album version and I don't like the Glasglow version(Because it seems like it is trying to imitate the album version). But I do LOVE the other live version from the concert for the people of Kampuchea.

I like all these songs but i would'nt want them on Ram , it would spoil the album for me (smile)

I love Coming Up. The album version. I haven NO idea why the live version was so much more popular. All of the quirkiness was taken out of it! The album version is fresh and original. And probably a little ahead of its time.

And the video is great. I showed it to my students and they kept freaking out because there were so many Pauls! It's funny how his Beatle Paul looked exactly the same as actual Beatle Paul. He looked about 21 again! What was he, late thirties at this point?

Well, Sandra, you've done it!  You've found the irrefutable evidence which finally puts an end to the nearly forty year old rumor!

I like the song.  I was kind of freaked out when I first saw the music video...Pauls everywhere!   ??)  But I love drummer Paul best, for some reason...he looks so goofy and adorable.
