The Beatles had many songs that had a story in them. For instance Rocky Raccoon, Ob-La-Di Ob-La-Da, and Maxwell's Silver Hammer are some.

What are your favorites or ones you thought were just weird?

Best screaming in a Beatles song?

Does anyone like those screams that the boys do, generally just before a guitar solo, c. 1962-65? Those screams are just one of the many things I love about the Beatles.

I was listening to "Slow Down", and John has some really great ones there, but the one just before George's guitar solo ranks as one of the best ever on a Beatles record IMO.

I also like the scream by Paul on "Can't Buy Me Love". Also at the beginning of the electric version of "Revolution".

Does anyone else like those screams ? Any other good ones that come to mind?

Thanks

A-X the Universe - who sang backup?

There's one version where two people sang backup, like a million "ah"s, after each time "... nothing's going to change my world" is sung.

I always thought it was George and Paul at their flipping best, it sounded so darn hard to sing, and and was sung so darn well!

Then ... I read somewhere that they just picked two girls off the street to come in and do it. I'd never think that would be true (doesn't sound like something they would do for such a prominent part), but it sounded sort of semi-authoritative when I read it.

Does anyone know about this? Please tell me it was Paul and George!

Thanks!
