And what do you mean with "Special rights" for homosexuals? The right to marry? The right to adopt children? Those are perfectly normal rights for heterosexuals, so why are they all of a sudden "special rights" when it comes to homosexuals? There are lots of men and women that raise their children all alone and are doing just fine, so why can't two men or two women raise a child?
Gay marriage and adoption by gay couples is complete legal here (in the Netherlands), an it's working out just fine. No problems whatsoever. I really don't see why it's such a big deal in the US.

We're not having trouble accepting the euro (it's called the euro, NOT the eurodollar). The only problem is that all the prices went up after we got the euro, but apart from that: no problems whatsoever.

It may look like all I do is talk sh*t about what's wrong with the US, but that's not true. I talk sh*t about what's wrong EVERYWHERE. There's also a lot of stuff going on in the Netherlands that I don't agree with and in real life I talk sh*t about that just as much. But those Dutch issues just never come up here because you guys don't know about them. Whenever we talk about politics on this board, it's usually only American politics, and therefore you only see me talking shit about American politics.

That's why "we" sometimes find it odd that there are still heated discussions going on about this subject in a civilized country like the USA. Especially if you hear these conservative christians talking about how civilization will end if abortion, gay marriage, euthanasia and soft drugs will be legalized, while we already know that's just not true at all.

It's not that I like homosexuals because I desperately want to be politically correct... It's because I strongly believe in the "treat people the way you want to be treated" thing.
