Title: THE STRAY CATS
Post by: pc31 on Dec 21, 2004, 05:44 AM
who digs the rockabilly sounds of the stray cats??????
i know i do.when they came out with their first album i was so blown away i got me a stray cat tatoo.i call it a cat-too.
when they hooked with dave edmunds i thought fantastic 2 of my preferences working together.then brain got into swing.fine by me he is good at whatever.
the other two slim jim phantom and lee rocker are not void of talent either.they were on an album with earl slick.and jim did an album with lemeul(lemmy)from motorhead.its early eddie cochran, buddy holly and gene vincent tunes.they are done real well too lemmy is talented.
brain had a band called the pharohs in high school with his brother.
the cats are cool.....

The Cats were good. I liked Slim Jim Phantoms standing style with the snare and bass. He's endorsed by 'Peace' drums now, but i've lost touch in what band or type of music he plays now.

I like rockabilly from the 50s, but I've never been into any of those revival bands.

Yes. Talented revivalists. :)

I just prefer rockabilly from the 1950s over rockabilly from any other decade.

I always thought they were very good. I love rockabilly and thought they were a lot better than most of the original rockers from the 50's.
