Beatles Announce the Return of 'Anthology' as a Music Collection With Added 'Volume 4' and a Disney+ Documentary Series With Bonus Episode (https://variety.com/2025/music/news/beatles-anthology-expanded-boxed-set-disney-additional-episode-1236494846/#)
I'll enjoy streaming this with the services I already pay for but that will be enough for me!
Spiffed-up version (4K and audio remix) of the original video:
Yes it'll be nice to see again. I already have Disney fortunately so it's no more of an outlay. It'd be nice to have a blu ray version though. Especially as I lent my DVD version to someone and never got it back.
Just listened to the remixed Free As a Bird.
Johns voice sounds much clearer and did you spot the change of George's lyrics.
Time to un-pause Disney+/Hulu. Well, in a couple of months, anyway. I'm looking forward to it. I've never seen the Anthology documentary material.

It's much clearer isn't it. I hadn't noticed the lyric change. Good of George to drop back in and re-record it ;D

I find it really fun watch. It's criticised as being more myth making as there's no one to contradict them. Except when they contradict each other. Which happens a couple of times.
On my (purloined) DvD set some of the nicest stuff was the extra scenes of the Threetles hanging out and doing some acoustic performances. Hopefully they'll be in there.

I'm excited for it. And the release date corresponds to the beginning of North Dakota's 6-month blizzard season. 😉

Perfect! It'll be summer here but I'm sure I'll find time in between the cricket tests.
It's getting more poignant watching it too. Of the talking heads on the show we've now lost George, George Martin and Neil Aspinall. (From memory I think them plus Paul and Ringo are the only ones doing interviews. Yoko doesn't even get a guernsey.)

You owe it to yourself to check it out. Very good.
originally when this post came out I wasn't too excited about the re-release. As we get closer I find myself looking forward to it. I think the spiffing up the quality with the tech now available will be great. Debating the streaming life vs owning physical discs life...

I'm excited for it. As I mentioned in an earlier post, I've never seen the actual documentary. New Beatles material is a treat. 8)

Darn; I thought it was being released for streaming on November 21, but now I see the actual release date is November 26. Oh well. I'll bide my time by watching Imagine: John Lennon. 😉
