Although I really like The Hollies, this was pretty awful. The Beatles didn't do so bad after all.

Yeah, love the Hollies and the managed to do a much worse version than the Beatles. Wow.

That Hollies version is terrible.
I don't mind the Beatles version - certainly not one of their best songs, but I don't skip it when it comes on.
The organ sound is horrible and I agree that the production isn't great on it, but it could have bee a lot worse (as the Hollies proved!)

Even Revolution 9? That would be loyalty above and beyond the call of duty!  ;)

Yeah, even Revolution 9! But it's not that I love every Beatles song, it's just what I do when I listen to any record, I listen to it all, because I always may discover something new. I do the same with other bands I like. For example, the album Da Capo by Love ends with a song called "Revelation" that is 19 minutes long! And I always listen to it when I put that record. :)

Maybe the problem is the song. ;D

Yes, 'Revelation' can be hard to get through sometimes.

I think it has some moments of good music, but eventually it becomes tedious. However, the whole A-side of that album is really good.

ha2ha I'm never saying I like a song again! Like I've said before, I'm not a musician and you can probably tell!  ;)

I tend to be that way too but Revolution 9 is so scary!

The A-side is awesome and I think it holds up to 'Forever Changes'.

Lately I'm digging it more than before, though it will never be a favourite, haha.

Yes, "She Comes In Colors" and "Seven And Seven Is" are gems. It's a great album, and more considering that it was released before Sgt. Pepper's, that gives it more credit.

I like the song.Mr. Moonlight is not even their worst cover(some original songs are worst too).I think that A Taste of Honey and some others are worst as songs themselves and as performances but it all is a thing of opinion,I guess.
And in the end the love you take is equal to the love you make

I think that "Devil In Her Heart" may be the worst cover, at least to my ears. "Mr. Moonlight" at least has a good vocal. And I like "A Taste Of Honey", good vocal too.

The Beatles used to play it in the clubs, uptempo, not this dirge. Why the organ solo? El sucko, as a gringo might say.

"Bad To Me"? Nice idea. John wrote it at a time he thought such songs weren't right for his image as a singer. Too mushy. Why do you think he gave "Do You Want To Know A Secret" to George.

Better choice: "Leave My Kitten Alone". Why did that track sit in the vault so long?
"Beware of soft shoe shufflers"
