Lots of interesting stories about John Lennon in Liverpool on the 'Lennon's Liverpool' Facebook page. i.e. Steve Aldo and John Lennon were at Brian Epstein's flat. Steve disliked John and an argument and fight started. Steve picked up a chair ready to smash it over John's head and Brian shouted out, "Not my Louis chair!" Brian actually offered to manage Steve, but Steve turned him down. He did appear on the Beatles last tour of Britain, though.
