Penny Lane, I've never actually been able to find the comic, but I hope that batman is severely mistaken!

Hey thatgirl, your avatar is extremely cool too!

I'm trying to work through that pic in your sig ... looks like John in front with glasses, but his hair is Paul's color, and he's got bare feet like Paul on the Abbey Road cover; looks like George's face 3rd in line, but carrying Paul's bass? ...

The guy in the back is carrying a drum, so I guess that's Ringo. So that makes Paul the 2nd one, I guess? What exactly would he be carrying, a washboard? Isn't that a sign of the dead in the Tibetan Book of the Dead, "The Sacred Washboard of Deceased Souls"?  :)

I love John,
I love Paul,
And George and Ringo,
I love them all!

Welcome to everyone that I haven't already welcomed!

i remember my bro playing me revolver in he car when i was about 8. i thought it was rubbish!  he said 'wait 'til your older'.  I thought he was talking nonsense and went back to whatever soft rock dirge i was into at the time.

And whaddya know, one Christmas on my mid-teens he bought me Sgt Peppers and Revolver, and a life long obsession was immediately  born!

Well, I was in the local media store looking for some DVD's. Didn't found what I was looking for, so I went to the CD's and saw 'The Beatles - #1'. Thought in myself "Hmm The Beatles, heard of them, let's try it out!" After I heard this CD, I had to buy every album cause I simply loved them. And after listening to all these albums, I love them way more!

I was 10 years old and when my grandfather died, my family moved in with my grandmother.  While living there I discovered some records from the 60's - herman's hermits, the monkee's etc., but the one group that really caught my eye and my ear where The Beatles.  There were a few 45's and one LP and I played them all the time.  My father eventually brought me a few lp's that he had in his collection and I've been hooked ever since.

In middle school, on a dial-up computer connection, I decided that I would try and download some music. Of course I had heard of The Beatles, but was not very familiar (or so I thought). Started downloading titles I thought I recognized, started listening, quickly realizing that I knew song after song after song.  While as a kid I didn't know the songs were Beatles songs, nevertheless, they had become ingrained in my head. A testament to their immense popularity and influence (and my dad's good taste in radio stations).

When I was 11 (it was a verrrry long time ago) there was a short Beatles season on TV around Christmas. I happened to be in the room when my brother turned on the Shea Stadium concert, and I said "Oh, this is the Beatles?", because I'd been semi-aware of them beforehand and heard the name without anything really registering. But that evening was the beginning of it (whatever "it" is). I distinguished myself by saying "Oh, was Paul McCartney in the Beatles?", because to me he was just the guy from Wings! I've never quite lived that one down...   :B

Haha! I recognize that!
Welcome by the way.

my father...I grew up listening to them and fell in love! Lots of great memories riding in his convertible blasting "money"

I was 15 and studying at night class. During a break listening to Radio Luxemburg 'Love Me Do' came on. It was a totally new sound and being a record collector even then went out and bought it on the red lable Parlophone. After listening to the B side, 'P.S. I Love You' and seeing their ad in NME I was well and truly hooked. Strangely, I liked their early B sides better!

Mom!  She went to see them in Vancouver at Empire Stadium in 1964 and subsequently bought each LP as it was released.  I came along in 1968 and was basically raised on the Beatles.

I believe I was around 5 years old. My dad was a huge Elvis fan, as far as I can remember I think I was born listening to Elvis. He was also a big Beatles fan and he had all of these old Lps and every record you could imagine.  I remember him playing these albums and then one day he showed me A Hard Day's Night.  From that day on, I WAS HOOKED! English was not my first language but I memorized the entire movie in English.  I think deep down my father hoped I would become an Elvis LOL but all is well.  On the day of my wedding my father/daughter dance was "In My Life"

The Beatles' nicest song.  It's always been my favorite.

Great choice for your father/daughter dance, mysweetgeorge!
