I just found out a few days ago that in 'yes it is' they sing:

For red is the colour that my baby wore

and i thought:

for red is the colour that will make me blue

In I wanna hold your hand I thought they said "I get high" instead on "I can't hide"

Just like Bob Dylan thought. I had no idea it was "I can't hide."

She Loves You

Misheard lyric: "If I took her to you, apologise to her,"
Actual lyric: "Pride can hurt you too, apologise to her,"

Made sense to me. *shrugs*

In Think For Yourself I always said

"Although your minds ok"

But it's

"Although your minds opaque"

georgeharrisonluver

from Eleanor rigby...

misheard: I look at all the lonely people (it makes sense)

actual: ah, look at all the lonely people

also...

misheard: guarding his socks in the night when there's nobody there

actual: darning his socks in the night when there's nobody there

that never made sense to me, why would you guard socks...then I realized!  ;D

From Get Back...

Misheard: Jojo lift his arm into some Arizona

Actual: Jojo left his home in Tuson, Arizona

;D ;D ;D

^I like your Get Back one! haha!

That one made me laugh!

"I imagine she's a pretty nice girl"
Instead of
"Her Majesty's a pretty nice girl"

[Makes sense...!]

You Never Give Me Your Money

Misheard lyric: "Yellow Irish snow nowhere to go" (hehe)
Actual lyric: "Yellow lorry slow nowhere to go"

Then I had to look up what the heck a lorry was. I love learning new british words.

Has anyone mentioned Yesterday? I haven't looked throught the whole thread.

This is more to do with the meaning of the lyrics. I was always confused because he sings "Yesterday, all my troubles seemed so far away", then later on "Yesterday came suddenly". How could yesterday come suddenly if all his troubles were far away then?

Doesn't it make more sense for the second one to be "Yes, today came suddenly"?

Apologies if someone's already brought this one up.

Oh yeah, it took me ages to hear this line properly! I kept hearing "[something] can't hurt you to apolgise to her" ;D

Hehehe, georgeharrisonluver, "guarding his socks" and "Jojo lift his arm" are too funny :D

In I'll Cry Instead I used to hear "if I could have my way, I'll get myself a love today" in stead of "I'll get myself locked up today"... and then I heard "yes I'm gonna break up in two" instead of "I'm gonna break them [i.e. girls' hearts] in two".
I'd ask my friends to come and see... an Octopus's Garden with me ^___^
