I'm glad you are enjoying it. It is quite beautiful on the exterior, I agree.

Since the stereo set is technically my birthday present, I can't open it until this Friday (that's when my birthday is). So it will be sitting quietly and waiting until then. ;)

now that takes will power lol!

I bought two The Beatles pins. One classic black with the white The Beatles logo (ala Past Master Vol 1)
And one with the Apple logo and The Beatles text on top of it.

I also bought a metallic wallet to keep your cards in, the front had the "With the Beatles" cover as the pic.

I see. So you have a chance to admire it for a long-long time and to fall in love with it deep-deep...  ;D

Yeah, it does. But I've been so busy lately that school has been keeping my mind off the box set... Just a few more days to go... ;)

Agreed, I'm very grateful for eBay. ;)

Anyway, the last Beatles item I purchased was the recent issue of MOJO which has a bunch of Beatles articles and a CD of Beatles covers ("Abbey Road" songs). The cover songs kinda sucked, but I'm more interested in the magazine articles and pictures anyway.

Those Beatle cover cds always suck.

Yeah...although the "Across the Universe" soundtrack was pretty good, IMO. But on the MOJO CD I got, it just seemed like most of the artists lacked the charm/talent/passion/whatever that the Beatles had. I guess there IS a real reason why the Beatles are considered one of the best bands ever!  ;)

I didn't buy this, but...

I thought I was only getting the Beatles stereo box set for my birthday from my in-laws and hubby. But what I didn't know was that my husband decided to buy me a surprise gift, which turned out to be the Beatles' mono box set.  :o :o :o :o :o

That was such a holy s--t moment!! I never expected to get both sets as presents but I am really touched that he did that for me.

Plus, my wonderful mom-in-law spoiled me with lots of random and cool Beatle goodies, including a mug which I totally love.  ;D
