Patti Boyd is the best-looking, hands down.

Barbara Bach is a close second, but too Hollywoodish.

I'd put Cynthia in third (she's aged well, too, better than Patti).

Yoko and Linda are tied for fourth.  (Yoko with her clothes on!  She's aged well too.  Linda can photograph well--sometimes.  Sometimes not.)

Maureen is cute in some pics, so comes in a close fifth.

Olivia's not really a looker--at least in the pics posted.

Paul's one-legged wife isn't bad looking in a pro-foto shoot, but I'm not gonna count her in this.

I read that the girl in the front row, who's looking and smiling to Paul (and he, of course, smiling and looking back...) is in fact Cynthia!

Paul and his girlfriend Dorothy (Dot) in the early days. She went to Hamburg, together with Cynthia, once, but couldn't cope with Paul's jealousy back in Liverpool. They split up in a rather rude way, so I've read somewhere. Paul met her during a tour in Canada (Dot emigrated) backstage and they finally sorted things out.

Was Cynthia in love with Paul first? Or is it just a smile and nothing else? I read somewhere else in the forum that Yoko Ono first had an eye on Paol also. Is that true?

Mairi

Cyn was deeply in love with John.

Yoko was the one who was trying to make a move on Paul first, but he rejected her. Smart man.

The following quotes by Jane Asher are from Hunter Davies' Authorized Biography of the Beatles (McGraw-Hill Book Co., 1968) and were compiled c. 1967:

"When they are all together, Paul is different. He isn't the same toward me as when we are alone. I want to feel that it's the two of us going through life together. I don't want to be part of a gang."

"I've been brought up to be always doing something. And I enjoy acting. I didn't want to give that up."

"When I came back after five months, Paul had changed so much. He was on LSD, which I knew nothing about. All he could talk about was the spiritual experiments he'd had with John."

(In reference to her meeting of the Beatles):"They couldn't believe I was a virgin."

Jane Asher broke up the engagement with Paul, because she had trapped him in bed with Francie Schwartz. Well, this is lady. I can hardly believe he left Jane for Francie...

Dorothy Rhone was born in Childwall, England a suburb of Woolton, in the 1940's. Cynthia Lennon, a former friend of hers, recalled she was a 'gentle soul who spoke in whispers and blushed frequently.' When she was older, Dot, as she was called, worked as a dispensing chemist clerk and lived with her parents. Her father was very strict and was suspicious of one of Dot's boyfriends, Paul McCartney.

When Paul McCartney and The Beatles went off to Hamburg, Rhone and Lennon would often visit them. While she was there, McCartney would jealously guard her by placing her near the group while they were playing. He requested that she dye her hair blonde and wear miniskirts, similar to his ideal woman, Brigette Bardot. Although Rhone loved McCartney, she found his jealously and control over her too much to handle, so she would return home to try to get rid of him. (Lennon also returned back to Liverpool). Rhone moved out of her house became roommates with Cynthia Lennon in a Liverpool boarding house.

While Rhone and Lennon were in Liverpool, waiting for their boyfriends to return, Paul McCartney found opportunity in Hamburg. Well-known for its red light district, McCartney had girls around him all the time. When he returned to Liverpool, he visited Dot Rhone, quickly said it was over and then rushed out of her room.*

Dot Rhone was devastated. Although she didn't like some of his ways, she still loved him. When Cynthia Lennon returned and asked Dot what was wrong, she would have convulsions and outbursts of uncontrollable crying. She knew it was time to move on.

Dot Rhone moved out, and after getting married, she lived in Canada. Paul McCartney's band, Wings, made a stop in Toronto and invited Dot to see the show. Her husband, eldest daughter Astrid and she were sent by Rolls-Royce to see them perform at Maple Leaf Gardens. They were invited backstage, where Dot and Paul could finally end the relationship in the proper way by talking about it. She was able to move on with her life knowing her past with McCartney was put to rest.

So you have to be either rich or pretty to be Paul's girl.

Guess I'm out of luck then... :P
