It's certainly 'Yesterday' when you take into account it is has had the most radio plays in the world and is the most covered song ever.

It must have graced this worlds subconscia so many times.

I think Yesterday and Let It Be are the most recognizable. Hey Jude Probably the biggest hit.

Twist and Shout, She Loves You, and I Wanna Hold Your Hand are three songs that I ALWAYS used to think of when I thought of the Beatles when I was in Elementary school.

BUT...

It seems like ANY kid who plays piano nowadays knows how to play Let It Be, so that's another consideration.  It's definitely one of, if not THE most, popular song to play on piano (That's not classical).

I'd have to say YESTERDAY. A great tune, but I'm sooooooo sick of it.

I'm so glad there are so many young fans on this forum! Makes me feel like there's hope for the future after all! It's true that the radio these days is really not playing enough variety of Beatles. It's always YESTERDAY, HEY JUDE, CAN'T BUY ME LOVE, YELLOW SUBMARINE....

No wonder many teens today think the Beatles are too wimpy for their tastes. I remember when the radio used to play stuff like YER BLUES or HAPPINESS IS A WARM GUN...

Hmmm yes Joe Karlosi - those would be the songs that I think of when talking about the beatles - but when I think Yesterday I think Paul McCartney... but I still think it's the most well known

Well, when I was little and first getting into the Beatles, the first (and probably only) song I knew of theirs was "I Wanna Hold Your Hand"... I don't think I knew of "Yesterday" until I heard it on Help! or saw Paul perform it on one of the anthologies...

Another pretty well-known song is "With a Little Help from my Friends," used for the opening credits of "The Wonder Years," etc...

Sorry to be getting off-topic, but a friend of mine who likes WALHFMF didn't even know it was a Beatle song until I told her! >:(

Yellow Submarine is their most indentifiable song.
Yesterday is their most covered and recorded song.
I Want To Hold Your Hand is their most sold song.
Hey Jude is their most successful song.
Let It Be is their most memorable song.

I think it's a tie between those. Yellow Submarine, Yesterday, I Want To Hold Your Hand, Hey Jude or Let It Be.
