The White Album Demos?

The acoustic demos for the white album are quite interesting to hear with their different versions of Back In The USSR Etc. The song had a more intimate feel than the released version. Another stunning outtake is George's version of While My Guitar Gently Weeps also a much more intimate version of the song! I think a lot of the original versions were better than the actual lp ones. What do you all think?

i agree with you for the most part...the acoustic originals are better....but remember they were not really meeting as a group to record that album but stopping by at different times to add their part...lady madonna was a group effort it seems,it doesn't predate the white album by much does it?...they seemed to mostly all be present when there was a single made for release but seemed to slack on full albums...the white album seems full of solo songs not much grouping...

True on a hole the White lp is basically made up of solo efforts, but I thought the simplicity of the acoustic versions of these songs far out weighs the finished product with the added layering etc. The songs just sounded so pure in their demo form?

I would like to hear the demos for the White Album more than their other classic albums, without a doubt.  I heard a little bit from it on Anthology 3, but was disappointed with Helter Skelter, I want to hear the whole 25 minutes.

There's a Bootleg site that has the "Esher Acoustic Sessions" that have different versions of some songs from the white Lp. :)

As far as I'm aware, the 25 minute Helter Skelter has not even been released as a bootleg... yet!

I'm surprised it hasn't even been released on bootleg yet, but hopefully I will hear it before I'm dead.

I hope I get to hear the whole 25 minute ballsy, blistering jam of Helter Skelter before I'm dead since that's the only thing to do with the Beatles I haven't heard or seen yet The End.

Someone here last year or earlier this year said the long version of Helter Skelter is actually boring.

Who cares if they said the long version of HS was boring, they probably didn't like the Beatles anyway.
