I never go to any pubs. Cause I don`t drink beer. I go to small restaurants. And usually they are beer restaurants! German. Absolutely perfect! Very good food too!

i don't go to pubs either, not my scene, and i don't drink at all.

English pubs would be just as expensive as the beer would have to be imported. You must have an Irish pub, or pubs in Moscow? There's an Irish pub everywhere!

Oh, yes, we`ve got pubs and I remember some Irish pubs. I`ll post a pic of my favourite German beer restaurant when I have taken it this weekend.
Speaking about something English we have Silver`s, Cutty Sark (spelling?), John Bull (expensive), Molly Gwinns (I don`t remember exactly the second name, I`ve been only once). I wonder if the English have them? Or they are just allegedly English?

We don`t have English pubs. Why don`t the English open their pubs here?

The English pub I go to is run by a Chinese family!  lol!

My small university has a bar/pub that also happens to be the cheapest watering hole in the city, so I like to spend time there. It's pretty artsy, and we have stuff like Bob Dylan night. The only problem is that my evil roommate works there, so I try to avoid going on nights she works.

They don't do the whole "pub" thing here. It's more a bar/club scene. So not the same thing. There is this cool old bar in Hollywood where Hemingway, Faulkner and other alcoholic writer's used to hang at. As well as old Hollywood actors. Musso and Frank Grill. It's fun to go there. Great drinks. AWFUL food. We always see someone interesting there.

I'm not fibbing...I actually may have played that place you mention back in 03. I have a t-shirt somewhere with the name on. I remember the F.A. Cup (Or a replica) was on tour from Aresnal F.C. Only a small place but a famous hang-out apparently. All the stories about the place escape me at the moment but I'm sure some great English band/s and their manager's (possibly Zep) had hung out there.
Unfortunately, it was a whistle-stop tour with an Irish theme band. Dream come true at the time to play music abroad. :)

I play so many boozers, I don't even go to my local and drinking less over the years. My 'night's in' are my 'night out.' heheh

Did you play any other clubs on Sunset? The Whiskey is legend. Just thinking about what went on there is mind blowing. Also the Troubadour. (technically on Santa Monica Blvd.) Where Elton became Elton. L.A. has a damn cool club scene.
