How come the Beatles always looked so wholesome during Beatlemania?

I mean they were "partying" all night long, AND drinking like fishes, then all day long they were interviewing, playing, practicing, writing songs. Yet it's really rare to see pics of them when they didn't look bright eyed and bushy tailed. How did they do that ... AND be as creative as they were?

Once they started smoking marijuana, it looked like 2-3 years of fatigue all of a sudden landed on their eyes ...

You'd be surprised at how good men in their twenties can look even after drugs, drinking, and all-nighters. Also, I think they were still on speed.
