I was speechless the first time I heard this. That's why I didn't post any comment until now. I'm surprised at these Beatles treasures (kind of like Easter Eggs that you didn't know were there.) This really shows how important George Martin was in contributing to the overall mix of their songs. I can't help but think of "For the Benefit of Mr. Kite" in this respect. Isn't that really a Martin creation? It's true John asked for an effect of this nature but it was Mr. Martin who ultimately put it all together.
I hope we learn more and more going forward about pieces like this one which are such powerful reminders of George Martin's significant role in the Beatles music catalog. Think of "A Day in the Life." That's a biggie in terms of George Martin' orchestral involvement and creation which helped make that song the truly amazing masterpiece that it is.
