Let it Be 50th anniversary box set
« on: October 19, 2021, 11:40:21 PM »

Anybody a chance to listen to this? I’ve dipped my toe in on Apple Music. As usual with these sets, there’s so much to listen to it’s hard to find time. I’m concentrating first on the Glyn John’s mix, mainly as it’s interesting to imagine the reception if they’d released this in the first place.

I've listened to all of it.  I'm not ready to venture an opinion.  Maybe I can say this, however.

For fans who want to hear the Beatles without adornment, this will be for you especially.  The Beatles simply interacting, talking, singing, playing around.  Maybe it's that fly on the wall type of experience.

Don't expect any phenomenal music that should have been released.  The final version of the album, Let it Be, was the best of all the versions you hear on the 2021 mix.

I think some of us want so much to hear more of the Beatles, that we're willing to listen anything Beatles.  Maybe this actually sums up my assessment of this compilation.
