Here's the image I deleted, which is—surprise, surprise—of my son, who's working as a mentor to kids in the local community where he's going to college. The university posted the image on one of its Instagram accounts, so of course I was delighted. (This stupid Grammarly app is telling me I need to cap "university." Argh.)

I'll refrain from re-posting all my BS text, however.  ;)

Came across this last night while browsing on my phone. Back in 2016, my son's high school pep band traveled to Fargo to cheer on their high school team at a regional championship. My older daugther and her friends came down from Grand Forks and made some signs cheering him on.

He came home grumbling that she'd "embarrassed me," but the look on his face here says it all:



They grow up too damn fast.

Hey everyone! I haven’t been on this forum since 2009 or so. I’m so glad I found it again and still see familiar names and faces! Still looks like a fun and mostly loving place to be. Been reading through the old posts from way back. Such a trip. Was I actually complaining about being old in my 30s? Yikes. I’d like to go back and smack some sense into myself!

Anyway, my username used to be maccalvr and I was a mod for a bit too. Anyone remember? Here’s a new pic of me and the best dog in the world, Frankie.
