Paul was on the May/June 2006 cover of AARP magazine. (Yes, I'm a subscriber.
) It was kind of a milestone for the generation of Boomers because Paul turned 64 and they are right behind him. Paul looks good for 64.
"You'll be older too/And if you say the word/I could stay with you"
"Doing the garden, digging the weeds,/Who could ask for more"
Good article on Paul and the Beatles.
There's also a quiz.
One of the questions on the quiz goes as follows:
After getting his first serious girlfriend pregnant in 1962, Paul
A. Offered to marry her
B. Neglected her as he threw himself more fully into his work with the Beatles
C. Broke up with her when she miscarried
D. All of the above
Correct answer is D. All of the above. The woman in question, Dot Rhone, eventually moved to Canada, married, and lived happily ever after.
I had never heard of that episode of Paul's life before, but then again, I've not read any biographies about Paul.
But I just now googled Dot Rhone and found quite a bit.
Did anyone else read the article in the AARP magazine?
