Nostrodamus makes me puke, and belongs in the same file as The Bermuda Triangle.
Putting aside that it is impossible to see the future (as it hasn't happened yet) the guy made dillions of prophicies. If I sat down and made awhole heap of vague guesses about the future I'm sure I'd get a few right.Even the ones that seem accurate bear no relation to their original latin transcript.
This is the original famous Hitler prophecy:
Bêtes farouches de faim fleuves tranner;
Plus part du champ encore Hister sera,
En caige de fer le grand sera treisner,
Quand rien enfant de Germain observa. (II.24)
Translation by Cheetham, a "believer":
Beasts wild with hunger will cross the rivers,
The greater part of the battle will be against Hitler.
He will cause great men to be dragged in a cage of iron,
When the son of Germany obeys no law.
Translation by Randi, a sceptic:
Beasts mad with hunger will swim across rivers,
Most of the army will be against the Lower Danube.
The great one shall be dragged in an iron cage
when the child brother will observe nothing.
Both Hister and Germania were geographical regions, not people or countries.
Again, like UFO's and Angels, its people seeing what they want to see.
