Ooh, this really is a hard question!  Here's a probably underdeveloped list...

The Beatles

ALL of them, bar Yellow Submarine!

Wings

Band On The Run

George Harrison

All Things Must Pass
Living In The Material World

Queen

Queen
Queen II
Sheer Heart Attack
A Night At The Opera
A Day At The Races
Jazz

Brian May

Back To The Light
Another World

Maxïmo Park

A Certain Trigger
Our Earthly Pleasures
Quicken The Heart

Alessi's Ark

Notes From The Treehouse
Time Travel

Mumford & Sons

Sigh No More

Laura Marling

I Speak Because I Can

Buddy Holly

The "Chirping" Crickets

Little Richard

Here's Little Richard

...you know what?  It's just too hard to whittle them down!  I love so many different things, it's impossible.  I guess this would be the very top of the list.  :P

I see you're quite a Doors fan. Could you suggest me the perfect album to start with? I know a few songs, but I've never actually listened to an entire album.

I won't say that I'm a huge fan of the Doors, but I really enjoy every studio album they did with Jim Morrison. If you want to start in a safe place, I would recommend you their eponymous debut album: it has some of their most well known songs, including "Break On Through", "Light My Fire" and "The End". But Strange Days is also very good, and you may find it more interesting. Then, Waiting For The Sun and The Soft Parade have a more pop sound, while Morrison Hotel and L.A. Woman are more bluesy.

Ok, thanks. I'll go with their debut then.

You're welcome, and that's a good choice to start. It was also the first album I heard from them.
