Seems he went on to form The Pretty Things, who for awhile rivalled The Stones as the Bad Boys of rock, and went on to record what many consider the first true concept album "S.F. Sorrow."

Well it may be that the era of the flower power hippys brought forth some experimentation with drugs that opened up songs about drugs like the Airplane's White Rabbit along with Steppin Wolfs "God Dam The Pusher Man" etc! and there were bands who started using sound effects in their music also! More longer songs were introduced due to "FM" radio which supported the formate and allowed the listener to trip out to songs like Inagoddadevina by Iron Butterfly.
