Well, that was always a tricky model. You could never get good sound out of it and it tended to make screeching feedback noises at the worst time.

Not sure about the guitar John’s holding though.

I found this on The Gear Page:

“In one of my many now-out-of-print books on the Beatles that I wore out and no longer have, this very same photo was published and the caption read that it was a guitar that was given to him by a fan when he was vacationing in Trinidad in 1966.”

I don’t know though. I don’t think it could have fit in that little bag he’s carrying.
