I find the entire original concept (of Yoko instructing May to be John's girlfriend) incredibly tacky.

I'd still be interested in seeing this. Everyone else with even a tenuous connection to the Beatles has tried to cash in, so I don't have an issue with that, unless the point is to derogate John, which it doesn't sound like it is.
