Please, Sondra, tell me if it is nice to say such things? What do you think of the word "shallow"? Isn`t it very humiliating? But, please, be frank.
What about "if that`s how you judge people"? This is irrelevant and negative, I wasn`t judging anybody. Read it as a post addressed to you.
I didn`t mean to hurt DaveRam. I said that he knew better, his opinion was better. But he did hurt me. The word hit me as stone block.
I apologise for all this scandal. And I would like to underline that I do respect, appreciate and like all the posters. And expect the same attitude in return.
Somehow the situation seems to be like that: somebody says to me: your opinion is shallow, and I have to swallow it.
I address you, Sondra, as a moderator. But be evenhanded.

Sondra, this is not true. Read the posts from the beginning. But read them without any prejudice. I was accused of ageism, sexism, prejudice and some other things. While certainly I am not. And I wrote about it. But didn`t accuse Dave of anything. However he persisted, and I got that "shallow". He said he was a gentleman. I asked if it was gentlemanly?
So he could go on with his posts in my address, and I couldn`t. Why? I didn`t judge him but he did and negatively. Why do you think that he could go on and I couldn`t? Tell me. But, please, do.

I have to give Jane a word of support here. I think Dave over-reacted. And this is turning into a witch hunt.
If Jane stays that's fine by me.
C'mon folks, this place has always been a refuge for the sad, desperate, snide, lonely or just plain mad. Unless insults are flung it's all good.

Thank you, Kevin! Your support warms my heart...

I've already tried to explain it to you several times in other threads. So have others. That should be enough.

I came across this article about 10 albums that influenced Clem Burke. I found both his selections and his commentary very interesting:

I didn’t know the name either. But hey he was drummer for Blondie and The Eurythmics. Pretty good resume.

Not sure if you all are being disingenuous.. . . Either way, I still found his choices
and comments interesting.

Disengenuous? Me? Never!!

I didn’t know his name as Blondies drummer. Me not knowing his name wasn’t a dig at him. He’s got a great resume which is all that matters. And it was an interesting read.

Sorry; I was likely overthinking, as usual.  ;D  And I wasn't addressing that specifically to you. My upbringing with parents whose moods were hard to navigate and predict has led me to overanalyze things. You'd think by my age I'd be over it.  8)

. . . And yikes, looks like this thread has a rather tempestuous history. Maybe I should have started a new one.

I didn’t know his name as Blondies drummer.

Neither did I, actually. A post of his popped up on my Instagram feed right after I started following #bigaudiodynamite. (I'm not sure what the connection is.) I did a search on his name and found that article.

He's always been one of my favorite drummers.  I had the pleasure of talking to him backstage at a show years ago and he's a super cool guy.  He was going to be the drummer in a project called 'The Magic Christian' (we Beatle fans know the reference), but I dont believe it ever materialized.  I just recently hung a signed drumhead by him in place of a picture of Satan (my ex wife).  The drumhead looks much better.
