[Loco Mo]

I was just listening to Imagine on Disc One of the 2018 CD set.  It's interesting how the piano vibrates on this version.  It almost sounds like a reverberating beat pattern.

Has anyone listened to this version?  It's really very interesting and makes the song sound better to me.  The original version seems kind of flat and mono-sounding.

Well, I've got a lot to listen to because there's 36 songs on the 2 CD set.  I'll report back here if anything catches my ear in some different way.

Hello:  I felt like I was missing something due to the lack of piano on the record.  Now that you've clarified it, I feel sort of like a slow type of person.  This isn't the first time I didn't immediately or later "get" something.

Anyways, I am very happy to know I've got my own dance.  Wow!!

Because Little Eva did a one minute version of Locomotion on Shindig!, Kev.  Someone edited the video and dubbed the full released version of the record and posted it on YouTube.  I agree, the live version is way better!

Hello:  Thanks for posting Carole King's live version.  She's really a great live performer.  She packs a lot of energy, too, in her vocals.  She's such a great songwriter.  So what makes any of the Beatles better than her as songwriters??

I think it’s Paul who was quoted as saying that, when starting out songwriting, he and John wanted to be England’s Goffin and King, the hit songwriting team Carole King was in with her then husband.

Carole King is a terrific songwriter who I’d bracket up there with Lennon and McCartney. Not better or worse but in the same group of pop songrwiting elite.
