« on: August 17, 2005, 05:00:09 PM »

There are many types of emotion but which one seems to have the most?

I said Mother. Just the way that he screams his emotions throughout that song sends shivers up my spine.

I voted for 'Mother', though I think 'Isolation' is a close second. Can I just count the whole 'Plastic Ono Band' as one emotional song?

I went with 'mother' also. Looking at that list though, I just realized how much I dislike 'Love'. I thinks its horribly boring.

I picked Nobody Loves You(When You're Down & Out) because it's such a DOWNER of a song since John seemed to be lost at the time as an artist.

Mother - it is just raw emotion - the primal scream (Janov) personified.

"Momma don't go, Daddy come home" - it doesn't get more real than that.

Other. "Help Me To Help Myself" is incredibly dark and painful, especially after his death.

It is indeed a deep song, I don't think from the quality of the recording a fair assessment can be made, but it sure had potential to maybe one of his most emotional pieces.
