Well, now I understand! It must be difficult for that reason too. You won`t believe it but we don`t have any articles at all. That`s why it is articles that present the most problem to us. The or a??? And all the exceptions??? But having two "the"... It must be more difficult than German!
I would have imagined Dutch is quite easy to learn, if you know a European language. When I did Afrikaans (which is quite similar to Dutch) it was quite easy beause it is similar to Russian (some of the words and the pronunciation)
