I know Ringo learned to play guitar while still with the Beatles.

Did he play guitar on any of their records?

If not, did he play it on any of his solo stuff?

If you know anything about his guitar playing, can you rate it?

There was some story I heard of Ringo being offered the role as bass player in Gerry and the Pacemakers. I think it was when he was finding the role of drummer with  Rory Storm begin to get old. It was probably just drunken chat.  Of course he’d have to have learned the bass.

As far as I’m aware he never played guitar on a Beatles record and I’d be 99.9% certain he didn’t. As for his long solo career if he can string three chords together I’d be surprised if he didn’t try it on record at least once.

Okay, I tend to think that Ringo's a good guitarist.  I can't prove it, but I'll bet he is.

Ringo's the type of person who people will automatically underrate anyway.  He has that clownish underdog look about him.

Ringo Rama came with a DVD that showed a lot of the recording sessions and the guest stars, and he plays all the instruments on 'I Really Love Her'.  As for the question,,,,no, he is not a good guitar player.

Whenever I see film of Ringo making recent albums it looks like he’s recording in his living room or something. I know his albums don’t sell massive amounts but you’d think he’d be able to spring for a decent studio or a properly designed home studio at least.
