Right. When I was an intern, one of my chief residents was from Melbourne. He called me Bazza when we first met. "You know in Australia you would be Bazza," he said. "Baz for short." He always called me either Bazza or Baz.
A few years ago, I was at a crowded national society meeting. Suddenly I hear "Hey Bazza!" I knew who it was immediately and turned around and saw my old "mate." He was the best chief reident ever and I tried to be like him when I was chief. We're still good friends today though he's in practice in Florida.
No one called me Bazza again until Kevin came to this Forum. It's fun to be called that again, and by one I consider a "mate" too!
